Job Description:
Reporting to the Director, Community Services at the D'Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families, the Community Services Program Coordinator will support the activities of the Community Services team and its portfolio of projects and services. This portfolio supports two primary efforts: 1) provide technical assistance to communities focused on enhancing capabilities to better serve veterans and their families in those communities and 2) to share leading practices, insights, and information related to this work. The Community Services Program Coordinator will also assist the team in administrative duties, including liaising with other teams within the IVMF and Syracuse University, supporting grants management and reporting, and assisting in conducting trainings and conference workshops.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in project management activities, including: developing and updating project plans; creating templates for project teams to utilize; running project meetings to ensure team members are executing against project plan activities within allotted schedules; notetaking during project meetings; overseeing file management and process documentation for projects.
  • Support project activities, including: scheduling project stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and other key activities; overseeing logistics of project events such as identifying venues for focus groups, creating invites, and ordering meals and refreshments; assisting project teams with activities as needed, including interview and focus group support (notetaking, facilitating, interviews); creating reports utilizing databases (Census, V-START, etc.); and supporting provider and asset mapping activities for projects.
  • Provide general administrative support for Community Services portfolio, including: serving as portfolio liaison with the IVMF Communications team to ensure products and materials are designed and delivered in a timely manner; overseeing portfolio's grant management and reporting tracker, inputting deadlines as they are received and distributing completed reports to appropriate teammates and offices at the University; and maintaining portfolio's inventory tracker.
  • Support the IVMF's Community of Practice activities, including: assisting the conducting of trainings and/or workshops; preparing and distributing meeting materials and presentations; and utilizing virtual learning and webinar platforms to facilitate IVMF-lead learning opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
